Boundary Peak, Nevada was a wild solo adventure in the harsh elements of perhaps the harshest state in the union. Many winters the White Mountains hardly get snow as the Sierras scoop up the moisture before it reaches this parallel range. At the north end of the range you’ll find Nevada’s highest peak at over thirteen thousand feet.
In April of 2013 I skied the peak and really kicked off skiing the Western High Points project. At the time I had the Northeastern Highpoints mostly done, and had the idea to ski the western high points and publish short videos of the descents as a series. So 5 years later here we are.
I had to sift through GoPro footage and very limited DSLR footage I pieced together this short 3 minute film on the descent and Nevada’s desert beauty.
